At eatsleepdoodle we've been learning how to make paper fortune tellers! Follow the 10 easy steps below and make one along with us.
What you'll need:
Make sure you have some fun coloured paper (any will do!), scissors or a ruler and a pen.
Step 1:
Fold the left corner up until it makes a point and is parallel to the top of the piece of paper.
Step 2:
Fold the right corner up to meet the top of the first fold.
Step 3:
Cut or rip along the top line (ask an adult for help!) so that you're left with a triangle.
Step 4:
Unfold the paper so that it is a square. Then fold each corner into the centre.
Step 5:
Turn the square over and fold the corners in.
Step 6:
Then fold the paper in half so it looks like this. Use the bottom corner flaps to make the paper into the fortune teller shape.
Step 7:
The shape should look like this! Now it's time to add some fortunes...
Step 8:
Unfold the fortune teller and use the 8 blank spaces to write your fortunes. We've used kind words for ours!
Step 9:
Then begin re-folding into shape. Using the original fold lines as a guide. We suggest writing numbers on the next 8 spaces.
Step 10:
Then write something (we used colours) on the outside of the fortune teller. And decorate in any way you'd like!
Then you're finished!
They're a great activity and super fun to make!
